Weekly radioshow by Koen Mertens

Koen Mertens started in the early 90’s as a DJ on a local radio station. Shortly afterwards he bought 2 Technics turntables to start as a DJ at local parties. It soon became clear that electronic music was the way to go. As a 16-year-old he was crazy about New Beat and this started the passion for electronic music.

At the end of the nineties Koen became interested in making electronic music. Together with some friends he bought a sampler, a synth, a drumcomputer and an atari 1040ST. Our first records were released on our own label (Bomb Trexx).
Afterwards he had releases as “Daddy”, “Mr.K” on Bonzai records, Blackhole records, Sphear, Night Flight records. His highlight as a producer was the release on the A State Of Trance label (Nash & Pepper – Panamarenko) and a remix he did for Nash & Pepper on Soundpiercing (Armada).

Now Koen is mainly busy making DJ mixes for his youtube channel and his weekly Beatport Trance/Dance Top 30.

On the youtube channel you can find all beatport top 30 broadcasts, but also many mixes from the most diverse genres.
